You and your family are welcome at AUMC!
Where do I park?
We have ample spaces in our parking lot with plenty of handicapped spaces. There are also spaces along the buildings. We don't have any reserved spaces - so feel free to park anywhere!
What do I do when I get there?
We start church at 9:30. Come early to enjoy a cup of coffee, a pastry, and conversation in the hospitality room. Feel free to explore the church! Worship is usually finished by 10:30. Following worship, you are welcome to attend one of the two Sunday School classes. Both classes are intergenerational and utilize books that dig deeper into Scripture and application to our lives today.

What is available for children?
Children are welcome to participate in the worship service. There is a special time during the service especially for children. You will notice the youth serve as acolytes, greeters, ushers, liturgists, and in other roles. The hospitality area is an excellent spot for young children who need movement space. There is also a nursery at the top of the stairs to accommodate the youngest children. Children are also welcome to participate in communion. Following worship, there are Sunday School classes for both children and youth.

Where can I go if I have questions?
We hope that all members of our church would be willing to help with any questions. You have found our website!! This is a great place to get your questions answered. Our secretary, Lucinda, is also available during the normal working week in the office in the basement or at 620.842.5486. You may also call or text Pastor Bruce at 316-833-2999.
Where is the Sanctuary?
The Sanctuary is at the top of either flight of stairs accessible on the west side of the building. If you enter at ground level by the Fellowship Hall, simply go up the flight of steps and take a left. An elevator and operator are available on Sunday mornings.
What do I wear?
We welcome you to feel comfortable. You'll see slacks and dresses as well as jeans and t-shirts.
Where should I sit?
You are invited to sit anywhere you feel comfortable.
Is someone going to call on me in worship?
No one will point you out, however we like to recognize guests if you're comfortable. There are also information cards on the back of each pew to fill out if you're interested. There is a greeting time at the beginning of worship as the members of the congregation welcome each other and our guests.
Am I welcome to take communion?
All are invited to participate in Holy Communion. The United Methodist Church believes that communion is God’s holy meal and the bread and juice are symbols of God’s love for us. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month and on Christmas Eve.
